A collectible handcrafted textile sculpture inspired by a rare rabbit figure created in Khotkovo more than a century ago. Revived from archival sources by designers Maria Altukhova and Dmitry Ochakov, Zaika Khotkovsky brings together the heritage of traditional Russian craftsmanship and contemporary collectible design. Each Zaika is individually handcrafted from vintage velour and traditionally filled with wood shavings, preserving the authentic character of the historic original. No two pieces are exactly alike. Every sculpture is individually numbered and accompanied by the Zaika Khotkovsky Heritage Book & Certificate of Authenticity, documenting its origin and place within the collection.
